Batter Advancement

After a hit, you can specify additional activity for the batter using the Batter Advancement section. The runner can advance one or more bases due to error or be thrown out at a base. In either case, you'll need to specify the fielder(s) who were involved in the play.

Baserunner Advancement

You can do the same for runners on base in the Baserunner Advancement section(s) and, as lead runner(s) advance, following runner(s) can advance, be thrown out, or advance on error as well.

Tips

  • Set advancement starting with the most advanced baserunner and working backwards to the batter.
  • The default baserunner advancement is the number of bases the batter advances. You can override this (e.g. have the runner on second base hold position on a single) by choosing the "Hold" option.
  • The complexity of advancement is scoped to match the likely outcomes for a tabletop game. If you encounter a scenario that is not supported, please use the Bug tab to report it.
